Of course, our services also include route inspections, applying for all permits, signage services and the professional re-steering of transport vehicles by our trained escort drivers and BF drivers.
Depending on the type of transport and legal requirements, different escort vehicles are used:
BF2 vehicle: warns traffic mostly to the front, amber flashing lights
BF3 vehicle: backs up to the rear with the aid of variable message signs (VMS), possibly restricting other road users.
BF4 vehicle: protects transportation to the front, rear and sides with a rotating WVZ system, can also perform police tasks.
When which vehicle is used depends on the circumstances of the transport:
BF2 vehicle: accompanies, for example, transports with widths between 3.01 and 3.50 meters, mostly off freeways and on clear routes.
BF3 vehicle: secures, for example, larger transports on freeways with hard shoulders (from 4.50 meters wide), off freeways (from 3.50 meters wide) or if there is a traffic circle on the route (from 27 meters long).
BF4 vehicle: takes over, for example, if the police do not accompany and the route can be planned and regulated (no discretionary decisions). The road traffic authority determines the number and deployment of the vehicles as well as the traffic regulations.
